Exec VP at Carbonics Inc, still doing installsFull Time driver needed for local deliveries. 7:30AM - 4:00PM Family business. Team atmosphere. We need a self-starter that is familiar with the Greater Houston Area and can take charge of his or her truck, plan the route for the day in an efficient manner, and communicate with the office.
Responsibilities
You will receive a list of stops which may include delivering Dry Ice, CO2 compressed gas cylinders, or BIB syrups, or other misc items. You will need to deliver all the ICE first, obviously, then any critical or HOTSHOT deliveries next, followed by your regular stops or route. You will use an electronic ticking system called Service Fusion to record the transactions and get signatures on a company issued mobile device.
Your truck will be a dry box truck somewhere between 12-16' in length. We maintain a small fleet of 5 trucks that we try hard to keep clean, safe, and well maintained.
Qualifications
We need a good driver with a clean record. Experience with Box Trucks is preferred. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Someone familiar with Houston and able to manager their own work load and pace. This is a small Family owned company and we do not have a lot of time to oversee our drivers, once trained, we count on you to be the face of the company to our customers.
Our location is in South Houston, so you will need to be able to commute there daily.
Your starting wage will depend on your experience driving, familiarity with Houston, and will be re-evaluated after your first 90 days.
