We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Clerk to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for managing the flow of materials throughout the facility — from receiving and shipping to issuing materials for job orders and service orders. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Clerk to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for managing the flow of materials throughout the facility — from receiving and shipping to issuing materials for job orders and service orders. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips, and inspect for damage or discrepancies
- Process outgoing shipments, ensuring orders are picked, packed, and documented correctly
- Issue raw materials, components, and supplies to job orders and service orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the inventory/ERP system, updating stock levels as materials are received, issued, or transferred
- Organize and maintain the warehouse/stockroom locations, ensuring materials are properly labeled, stored, and easy to locate
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and flag low inventory or reorder needs to the appropriate personnel
- Track and report on inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and slow-moving or obsolete stock
- Coordinate with production, purchasing, and shipping teams to ensure materials are available when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety standards
- Operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) as needed
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including receiving logs, issue tickets, and inventory reports
- Assist with any tasks assigned by Production Manager as needed
- Bilingual – English & Spanish REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with inventory management or ERP software (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Infor, or similar) preferred
- Familiarity with cycle counting and physical inventory procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain certification)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with cross-functional teams
