Pay Rate Range First year evaluators will start at $14.00 per hour. Wage will increase by 50 cents each subsequent year the evaluator works for the University of Utah Office of Admissions with a cap at $16.00 per hour.

This employee assists in all aspects of the student admission and record maintenance process. This employee assists in evaluations of academic transcripts, test scores, and other credentials. Prepares, verifies, and enters data into computerized student information systems. This employee manages student university records by performing clerical activities to maintain student files.
The Undergraduate Part Time Evaluator will work with the Undergraduate Admissions team to process applications received for the current admissions cycle and help maintain student records. These employees will correspond with campus partners including students, parents, other on campus departments, etc. to answer questions relating to admission policy, submission and processing of related documentation, and connect students to on campus resources.
This position does not include active recruitment of potential applicants.
- Assist in evaluating undergraduate applications for all University of Utah campuses.
- Respond to emails related to undergraduate admissions.
- Process credentials related to admissions.
- Monitors students’ academic files to ensure information is complete and updated by filling in information and changing records when applicable.
- Manages daily work responsibilities and recommends changes to supervisor to improve processes.
- May be cross-trained in other areas and assigned to assist with other special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Three years of general office experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience), one of which in an academic setting; and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. College coursework in a related area is preferred.

- Preference will be given to applicants previously employed by the University of Utah Office of Admissions
- Commitment of 19 hours per week
- Ability to work at least three hours at a time
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience with Slate and/or People Soft programs
This position is fully remote. In order to perform the job responsibilities remotely, a reliable private internet connection is required. Staff will be provided a university laptop/tablet to be used exclusively for job functions. Staff may be required to come to the University of Utah Main Campus in Salt Lake City, UT at the start and end of their employment to pick-up or return equipment.
On-boarding and new employee training will be conducted virtually via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
