Duties
- Directs organizational unit operations through subordinates performing complex clerical, technical, and administrative assignments.
- Responsible for assigned program segment providing services in support of supply distribution program related to supply support operations.
- Conducts continuing review and analysis of assigned operational area and evaluates the effectiveness of work operations.
- Exercises control over the supply and distribution of assigned items to ensure optimum utilization of current assets, specialized storage activities, and rapid reaction time in support of DoD programs.
- Serves as a supervisor of an organizational unit.

To qualify for a Supervisory Supply Technician your resume and supporting documentation must support:
- Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-08 level, applicants must posses one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. - Reviews distribution patterns, geographical location, pipeline time, transportation requirements and storage mission pattern and distributes or redistributes assets accordingly.
- Experience in the administrative and technical nature of Distribution Supply Operations and Programs.
- Education:
As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-05 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
