Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager, Contracts Manager
About this Role
Quanta Services is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and completion of heavy gas and oil construction projects. This is a field-forward role — you will regularly be on active job sites managing crews, subcontractors, and field operations in addition to office-based project coordination. Projects range from high-pressure gas lines and regulator stations to powerline right-of-way work, substation grading, and site remediation.
Depending on experience, this role may oversee smaller projects or take on complex, high-value assignments up to $10M+. The Construction Project Manager ensures safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met while serving as the key liaison between clients, field teams, and internal departments.
- Plan, schedule, and manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, including high‑pressure gas lines and pipeline;
- Oversee budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure safe and efficient project delivery;
- Lead or support client communication, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting;
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor field progress, safety compliance, and quality standards — this role requires hands‑on engagement in the field, not just desk‑based oversight;
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment;
- Mentor junior project staff and support cross‑functional coordination with estimating, safety, fleet, and accounting teams;
- Ensure compliance with company standards, contracts, OSHA requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements; and
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned, and process enhancements.
