Sr Product Designer - Mobile

This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.

We're looking for an experienced and versatile product designer to contribute across two critical areas of our design team. In this hybrid role, you will take full ownership of native mobile design s includes leading design for our iOS and Android apps on both phones and tablets. In addition, you will support the ongoing evolution of our design system, helping define and maintain the patterns that create consistency and quality across our product.

As a Sr. Product Designer, you’ll be responsible for crafting elegant, user-centered experiences that make our mobile apps a joy to use. Working closely with your trio, you’ll lead design efforts from early discovery and research through to final visuals. You should bring a strong product mindset, a mobile-first perspective, and a desire to build systems that scale across teams.

You will:

• Own the end-to-end design of our native mobile apps across iOS and Android (phones and tablets), from discovery through delivery
• Define, test, and iterate on mobile-specific interaction design patterns and user flows
• Create high-quality visual UI that aligns with both platform conventions and our internal design standards
• Lead user research efforts to inform and validate mobile design decisions, including usability testing, contextual inquiry, and competitive analysis
• Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure smooth handoff and pixel-perfect implementation of mobile features
• Contribute to the growth and governance of our design system by building reusable components, documenting usage, and identifying areas for improvement
• Help ensure consistency and scalability across platforms by applying system thinking to design problems

• A strong track record of designing high-quality, well-loved native mobile apps, with a solid grasp of iOS and Android platform patterns
• Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system within a cross-functional product team
• At least 6 years of UX/product design experience, with a focus on mobile and/or system-level design work
• A portfolio that showcases your approach to user-centered design, mobile interfaces, and system thinking
• A collaborative mindset and the communication skills to work effectively with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers

• Your process for designing intuitive mobile experiences, and how you adapt to different platform guidelines
• How you're using AI tools to build coded experiences using tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
• Your contributions to a design system and how they impacted product consistency or team velocity
• How you balance craft and efficiency when designing at scale
• How you’ve handled trade-offs in mobile constraints or system limitations
• Your ability to communicate design rationale clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
• How you manage multiple priorities while staying focused and productive
