PE Planning Time Instructional Technician. Lane 2 - $17.47 per hour, 21.26 hours per week, 5 days per week, 177 days per year. Must be at least 18 years of age or older to apply. There are no benefits with this position. Hours are:
Monday: 11:20‑3:30;
Tuesday: 11:20‑3:30;
Wed: 11:20 3:30;
Thursday: 11:00‑3:30;
Friday: 11‑3:15. This position includes 30 min of supervision daily for a total of 2.5 hours per week.
Placement on the salary schedule will be reviewed by a supervisor and finalized through the Human Resources and Payroll Departments. Candidates already employed with Nebo School District, applying for a new position with a lane increase, may decrease in overall steps in the new position if offered, accepted, and not in the same job category.

Purpose StatementThe job of Instructional Technician‑ Planning Time is done for the purpose/s of improving students' success in the basic core skills (e.g. music, computers, art, physical education, etc.); assisting students by instructing and modeling the necessary skills to perform assignments.
This job reports to the Building Principal
Essential Functions- Adapts classroom materials under the direction of the teacher (e.g. music, art, computers, physical education, etc.) for the purpose of providing a method to support and/or reinforce classroom objectives.
- Confers with teachers and other school personnel for the purpose of assisting students' progress and/or implementing students' objectives.
- Evaluates students for the purpose of determining the need for further individualized assessment and individualized instruction.
- Implements instructional programs and lesson plans (e.g. music, art, computers, physical education, etc.) for the purpose of assisting the teacher in improving students' academic success through a defined course of study.
- Maintains classroom equipment, and work area students' files/records (e.g. clean up after various class projects, instructional materials, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and/or providing reliable information.
- Monitors individuals and/or groups of students in various situations for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
- Participates in in‑service workshops and training for the purpose of receiving and/or conveying information related to job functions.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- Prepares core subject‑specific lessons appropriate for individuals or small groups (e.g. music, art, computers, physical education, etc.) for the purpose of implementing goals that facilitate learning.
- Provides direct instructional services to individuals, small groups, or entire classes of students under the supervision of the assigned classroom teacher (e.g. music, art, computers, physical education, etc.) for the purpose of implementing goals for the promotion of student success.
- Responds to emergency situations (e.g. injured student, fights, etc.) for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Responds to inquiries for the purpose of solving problems, providing information, and/or referral.
