Overview

AAI is hiring a Math Teacher for the  school year in South Jordan, Utah. The role supports the school’s Personalized, Competency-Based Learning (PCBL) framework and project-based learning curriculum.

• Deliver all classroom instruction, assessment, and reporting for assigned math courses.
• Manage classroom environment and student learning experiences across limited‑size classes.
• Develop and implement project‑driven learning experiences, including Friday workshops, twice‑per‑year week‑long immersions, and daily intensive courses.
• Collaborate with other teachers to adapt and enhance the PCBL program.
• Participate in field trips, outdoor activities, and hands‑on learning experiences.

• Bachelor’s degree required; a Utah State Teaching License is preferred but can be obtained with prerequisite coursework.
• At least nine years of teaching experience or a strong track record in project‑based learning environments.
• Excellent team‑player skills, strong communication, integrity, and a growth mindset.
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in multiple fields of study, research, skilled writing, and math‑focused thinking.
