Job TitleElectrical / Electronic Design Engineer
Position OverviewThe Electrical / Electronic Design Engineer will provide hands‑on electrical and electronic engineering expertise to support delivery device research and development initiatives. This role is responsible for designing, evaluating, and troubleshooting electronic circuits and systems, ensuring all device design concepts are grounded in sound engineering principles and compliant with design control requirements. The engineer will collaborate closely with software, manufacturing, quality, and external development partners to deliver robust, manufacturable, and compliant device designs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide electrical and electronic engineering technical expertise across device research and development programs.
- Develop device design concepts using sound engineering principles and the latest engineering tools and technologies.
- Perform schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout using industry‑standard EDA tools.
- Design, evaluate, and troubleshoot electronic circuits, components, and subsystems.
- Develop detailed design, interface, and functional specifications to support software engineering and cross‑functional teams.
- Support EMC/EMI testing activities, including test planning, execution support, issue resolution, and design mitigation.
- Partner with manufacturing, contract developers, and quality teams to ensure robust designs, effective testing, and complete design control deliverables.
- Support design verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards.
- Prepare and present design‑related updates, risk assessments, and technical recommendations to senior management.
- Author and maintain technical documentation including design reports, development plans, work instructions, and change control documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to electronic design, testing, and manufacturability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in electronic circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Hands‑on experience with schematic capture, circuit simulation, and PCB layout tools.
- Experience developing technical specifications and interface documentation.
- Familiarity with design controls and working within regulated product development environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to cross‑functional and leadership audiences.
- Experience supporting or leading EMC/EMI testing and compliance activities.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers or external design partners.
- Background in delivery devices, medical devices, or highly regulated product development environments.
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards related to electrical safety and EMC compliance.
