Ophthalmic Technician​/Front desk

Davis Vision Center is hiring for an ophthalmic technician. We are seeking a motivated, detail oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our dynamic team. This is your chance to work alongside highly skilled ophthalmologists, make a real difference in patients lives and grow in our thriving medical practice.

An Ophthalmic technician's role is to do the beginning work up and testing with the patient. They also work directly with the doctors during the exam to meet those patient's needs. Technicians must be self-motivated, detail oriented and willing to grow with our busy practice. We Offer Hands on training with cutting edge technology. Ophthalmic Technicians responsibilities include:

• Taking patient health history
• Full patient work ups, including refractions
• Charting in our EHR system
• Working with the doctors in and out of the exams rooms
• Thoroughly scribing exams discussions
• Accurately charting notes
• Coding exams
• Sending medications
• Correctly and effectively using diagnostic testing equipment
