Part-Time Residential Support Staff – Swing Shift The Phoenix Recovery Center | South Jordan, Utah Part-Time | 20–30 Hours Per Week Swing Shift | Flexible Scheduling About the Position The Phoenix Recovery Center is looking for dependable and compassionate Part-Time Residential Support Staff to join our residential treatment team.
Residential Support Staff play an important role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for adults receiving mental health and substance use treatment. This position works directly with residents throughout their day, providing support, maintaining appropriate boundaries, assisting with medications, and helping ensure the residential program runs safely and smoothly.
No prior behavioral health experience is required. We are looking for individuals who are dependable, comfortable working with people, able to maintain professional boundaries, and interested in making a positive impact.
Schedule – We Can Be Flexible!
This is a part-time position working 20–30 hours per week, and we are flexible with how those hours are scheduled.
Minimum commitment: 20 hours per week Maximum schedule: 30 hours per week Swing shift availability between approximately 1:00 PM–11:00 PMAny days of the week are available, including weekdays and weekends
Schedule options may include:
Two 10-hour shifts per week Three 8-hour shifts per week Other combinations within the 20–30 hour range based on availability
We are happy to work with applicants to find a consistent schedule that works for both the employee and the needs of the program.
Because we provide residential treatment, our program operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities Provide day-to-day support and supervision for residents
Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment
Maintain clear and appropriate professional boundaries with residents
Assist with medication administration according to Phoenix policies and procedures
Support and monitor resident visitations
Respond appropriately to behavioral concerns and reinforce program expectations
Complete required documentation, audits, and shift responsibilities
Help maintain facility safety, organization, and cleanliness
Communicate resident concerns or changes to appropriate clinical, medical, or leadership staff
Transport residents to appointments, meetings, or approved activities when needed
Participate in required staff meetings and trainings
Follow Phoenix policies regarding confidentiality, resident safety, and professional conduct
Qualifications
No prior behavioral health or residential treatment experience required
Must be dependable and able to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts
Strong communication and active listening skills
Ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and professionally
Ability to maintain professional boundaries while remaining supportive and compassionate
Valid driver's license and ability to transport residents when required
Ability to administer medications according to established policies and training
Ability to respond appropriately in stressful or challenging situations
Must successfully complete required background screening
Must be willing to complete required training for the position
