In this role, you’ll own the full lifecycle of healthcare data, from ingesting unstructured PDFs into Node.js pipelines, to orchestrating AI extraction with LLMs, to delivering structured FHIR-compliant data for physician review in a custom Svelte interface. You’ll act as the bridge between messy medical documents and a clean, auditable database that powers research and clinical insights. Your work will directly support a platform designed to ensure AI-extracted healthcare data is accurate, validated, and production-ready.

• Architecting and scaling high-performance Node.js pipelines for document ingestion, OCR orchestration, and LLM integration (OpenAI, Anthropic, Lang Chain.js)
• Building logic to transform unstructured JSON outputs into FHIR-compliant healthcare data structures
• Developing and enhancing a Svelte-based supervision UI tailored for medical professionals to audit AI-extracted data
• Managing real-time data flow and application state using Firestore/Firebase and SQL
• Ensuring seamless feedback loops between physician corrections and backend databases
• Designing systems that prioritize auditability, accuracy, and performance in a healthcare environment

• 4+ years of experience building and scaling data pipelines and AI pipelines in Node.js
• 3+ years of frontend experience building production UIs – Svelte preferred
• 2+ years of experience with PDF parsing, OCR workflows, and AI/LLM API integration
• Familiarity with or strong interest in learning FHIR standards and healthcare interoperability
• Proficiency with SQL for structured data storage
• Experience using Firestore/Firebase for real-time application state management
• Ability to thrive in early-stage, zero-to-one product environments
• Strong focus on precision, data accuracy, and user-centered design
