CNC Laser Operator Assistant

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined individual with basic metal shop experience to join our team as a CNC Machine Operator Assistant. This role involves handling and maneuvering large metal sheets on and off CNC machines, as well as grinding and sanding sharp edges on various materials.

• Operate CNC machinery to process metal sheets according to specifications
• Grind and sand sharp edges using power grinders, sanders, and other hand tools
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including wearing required PPE (safety glasses, mask, etc.) at all times
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and full-body mobility
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area by sweeping, removing debris, and keeping the shop tidy
• Adhere to all shop safety regulations and wear designated safety equipment

• Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of metal shop operations
• Ability to safely use power tools and equipment
• Comfortable with physically intensive work in a manufacturing environment
• Willingness to assist with general shop upkeep and cleaning as needed
