Mattel Retail Merchandiser RPT - South Jordan, UT

Job Summary

Part‑time Retail Merchandiser (up to 30 hours per week, with extra hours during the holiday season). Responsibilities include executing in‑store merchandising for Mattel products across major retailers, building relationships with store teams, securing prime product placements, and supporting store events and reporting.

• Build strong relationships with store teams.
• Act as brand ambassador for Mattel and related brands.
• Secure prime product placements for Mattel’s iconic brands.
• Unpack cases of Mattel toys.
• Merchandise and organize products on the sales floor.
• Construct and deconstruct store fixtures, including shelving and racking.
• Implement point‑of‑purchase materials.
• Execute special projects, including store events.
• Complete reports as necessary, including store surveys.
• Train and lead team associates.
• Provide real‑time business insights.
• Perform administrative tasks such as managing expenses, attending meetings, training, and checking email.

• Minimum 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Availability to work daytime hours during the week and occasional weekends.
• Reliable internet access.
• Reliable transportation to travel between assigned store locations.
• Residence within approximately 20 miles of South Jordan, UT 84095 or ability to reliably service the territory.

• Stand, bend, twist, squat, kneel, reach.
• Walk for long periods.
• Climb ladders up to 12 feet.
• Lift up to 25 pounds frequently, 50 pounds occasionally.
• Push or pull carts containing product up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Operate power tools (screwdriver and drill).

• Merchandising experience (preferred but not required).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills to build relationships.
• Professional representation of the brand with a positive attitude.
• Strong time‑management and ability to prioritize work with a sense of urgency.
• Self‑motivated with a bias for action and resourceful decision making.
• Eagerness to learn new skills with a safety‑first mindset.
• Tech savvy (Microsoft Office, iPads and apps).
