Driving the technical vision for shared services, the full-time Senior Engineer, Platform Services will design, develop, and maintain product-grade services that support Stord's engineering teams, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities- Own the design and operational health of shared services, establishing clear service contracts and integration patterns for product teams
- Translate architectural direction into production-quality implementations and build reference implementations for service integration
- Act as a technical resource for product teams, identifying friction points and collaborating on improvements to enhance service reliability
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems
- Strong proficiency in Elixir or Type Script, with a willingness to learn the other quickly
- Experience designing and operating shared services or platform capabilities for engineering teams
- Proven track record of taking ownership of ambiguous technical problems and driving them to resolution
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, including API design and event-driven architectures
