Location: Roy, UT
Relocation Assistance: Relocation assistance may be available.
Clearance: Secret clearance required. Active US Government Secret clearance with investigation date within last 6 years. Ability to obtain enhanced security clearances.
Responsibilities- Assess staffing needs (20%) and work with team leads to address those needs.
- Support recruitment activities including creating requisitions, conducting interviews, and approving offers.
- Establish program and functional goals and perform quarterly reviews and merit adjustments for subordinates.
- Provide career development recommendations and mentorship; discipline as necessary.
- Acquire necessary computers, equipment, and tools for subordinates.
- Generate training plans and provide training.
- Provide regular flow‑down of company and organizational status; serve as spokesperson for the Software Engineering organization to group, assigned project, and company.
- Lead engineering role executing all facets of building complex software in an Agile environment (80%).
- Perform engineering activities from conceptual design to system deployment.
- Define, implement, and verify software capabilities and tools supporting novel technologies and applications.
- Collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams to define technical architectures.
- Lead and collaborate in development of technical requirements and software architecture.
- Conduct architecture and design reviews.
- Participate in integration and testing, aid in developing documentation and briefing materials.

Primary level salary range: $ – $. Base salary may be supplemented by overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long‑term incentive programs.
Qualifications- At least 8 years of experience with a Bachelor of Science; 6 years with a Master’s degree (an additional 4 years may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Experience executing software development processes.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Experience with MBSE, software design, and requirement management.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Experience leading software engineering teams.
- Understanding of best practices for safety‑critical software development.
- Experience with Agile principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (PERL, Python, Bash, YAML).
- Experience with source code configuration management tools (e.g., git).
- Ability to operate independently with limited supervision and establish relationships with technical staff, peers, and customers.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning; ability to solve issues and assess technical risks.
