Kamel Ride is a long‑distance carpooling platform built for college students and communities. We’re growing quickly, and we’re looking for an experienced engineer who can provide technical oversight and help guide the product forward.

We’re seeking a part‑time Technical Advisor / Lead Engineer who can support our small engineering team by reviewing code, ensuring production stability, and advising developers. This is a lightweight but high‑impact role ideal for someone who enjoys coaching junior developers and shaping early‑stage product decisions.

• Review and merge code from developers
• Oversee deployments and push updates to production
• Manage server infrastructure and ensure uptime
• Provide technical direction on architecture and product decisions
• Maintain code quality, reliability, and best practices
• Offer mentorship and guidance to junior developers
• Communicate clearly and proactively with the founder

• Strong experience with modern web/mobile development (React, React Native, Node.js)
• Comfortable managing production environments and deployment pipelines
• Ability to mentor junior developers and explain concepts clearly
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Someone who can make high‑leverage decisions in limited weekly hours
• Prior experience with early‑stage startups or student teams is a plus

You will be the technical backbone that keeps the product stable, supports developer growth, and ensures we’re building the right things the right way, all with a very manageable time commitment.
