Warehouse Technician

Job Description:

This position works independently in the receiving, distribution and inventory control of parts, equipment, tools and other supplies.

• Receiving and Storing Goods:
  Unpacking, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Inventory Management:
  Tracking inventory levels, verifying accuracy, and participating in cycle counts to maintain inventory records.
• Operating Equipment:
  Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintaining Order:
  Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Data Entry:
  Entering information into Oracle to track inventory and shipments.
• Communication:
  Interacting with co-workers and different departments to ensure they receive parts & ordered items.
• Safety Compliance:
  Adhering to safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record to meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles.
• Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.
• Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
• Complies with and ensures compliance with Redpath’s Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day and nights, weekends, holidays and shift rotations.
• Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility.

• Assist other job functions as required.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate work with co-workers of various departments.
• Knowledge of inventory control and warehousing practices is helpful.
• Proficiency with Oracle or the ability to learn.
• Ability to maintain records.
• Physical strength and agility sufficient to perform the work of this class.

• High school Diploma or GED.

2 years experience preferred.

• Must be able to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials.
• Knowledge of the mining industry underground environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.

• Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• High level of attention to detail, neatness and accuracy.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
