Fulfillment Center Material Handler

Job Overview

The position participates in all fulfillment center activities including stocking, picking, packing, and shipping medical products in compliance with Intermountain Healthcare policies and safety practices. The role also involves maintaining warehouse cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and participation in continuous improvement projects.

12:00 pm – 8:30 pm (Full‑time, 40 hours weekly)

Hourly rate: $19.31 – $25.11 (based on experience)

• Stocking:
  Handle and store products in assigned locations while maintaining inventory integrity and following written procedures.
• Picking orders:
  Follow outlined procedures and operate within the Pick Module to fulfill orders accurately.
• Shipping:
  Pack, label, and load goods, ensuring compliance with shipping procedures.
• Communication and teamwork:
  Effectively communicate to achieve team goals and maintain a safe, clean work environment; support Lean Six Sigma, green projects, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
• Safety:
  Use safe handling practices, observe MSDS, Hazmat, OSHA, and Intermountain safety requirements.
• Flexibility:
  Caregivers may transition between two functional areas of warehouse operations as business needs change.

• Order and deliver supplies for assigned departments, facilities, or clinical programs using appropriate technology and systems.
• Process all relevant documents (freight bill, bill of lading, packing slips) per Intermountain policy.
• Communicate supply level information, new product updates, and standardization initiatives to relevant staff.
• Assist in inventory management processes such as cycle counting and PDA Relief inventory.
• Maintain, track, and test patient mobile medical equipment.

• At least six months experience in customer service or logistics.
• Effective communication, problem‑solving, and basic math skills.
• English reading, writing, and verbal proficiency.
• Experience using internet applications, email, and scheduling software.
• Demonstrated safe work practices.
• Interest in personal learning, growth, and development.

• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Work experience in a Lean Six Sigma environment.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
