Cloud Engineer

Position Summary

Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring a Cloud Engineer in Woonsocket, RI. The role focuses on building, developing, and maintaining cloud‑native software web applications and systems to support CVS business needs and end customers.

• Assist with cloud‑native application development, web development, and API integration; scale applications in real time to meet internal user and end‑customer needs.
• Participate in the entire software lifecycle, including development, testing, CI/CD, and production operations.
• Develop large‑scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for insights and reporting.
• Write ETL processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real‑time and offline analytic processing.
• Collaborate with the Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes.
• Leverage Hadoop architecture (HDFS commands) and query optimization to build data pipelines.
• Build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems using programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
• Build data marts and models to support Data Science and other internal customers.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and ensure adherence to data quality and accessibility standards.
• Analyze current IT environments, recommend solutions, and experiment with tools to provide optimal solutions for model/use case requirements.
• Participate in telecommuting if applicable; support multiple positions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Completion of university‑level courses or projects in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD (Jenkins/Git/Dev Ops), Java/Python/Node.js, front‑end frameworks (Angular, JavaScript, React, jQuery, Ajax, Bootstrap, Backbone), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), big‑data tools (Spark, Airflow, Kafka, HBase, Pig, No
  
  SQL), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), machine learning/statistical analysis, backend services, code review practices, relational database concepts, and software development best practices.
• Experience building and maintaining cloud‑native applications and data pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of Hadoop, HDFS, and query optimization.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

The base pay range is $90,418.00 to $ per year. Additional compensation may include bonuses, commission, short‑term incentive programs, and equity awards, depending on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
