Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to assist licensed nursing and therapy staff in providing basic nursing and therapeutic care in a skilled nursing environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, efficiency, and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Perform hourly rounding on assigned residents to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Collect and report resident care data at designated intervals.
• Recognize and communicate significant changes in resident conditions to licensed staff.
• Utilize resources effectively, including time, equipment, and supplies.
• Document all aspects of resident care accurately and timely.
• Conduct basic procedures within CNA scope of practice, including assisting with nutrition and simple dressings.
• Follow established infection prevention measures at all times.
• Participate in training and orientation programs as required.
• Support a team-oriented environment by assisting colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program.
• Minimum two years of experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the State of California.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills; bilingual capabilities are a plus.
• Basic computer skills to complete required documentation.

Physical Demands

The physical demands include frequently walking, standing, and sitting, along with the ability to lift and transfer patients when necessary. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions

The work environment may involve exposure to infectious diseases and requires adherence to safety protocols at all times. Candidates should be prepared to handle emergency or crisis situations as they arise.
