Pay Rate: $21-22 plus TIPS

Summary of Position: Assist the F&B Manager in training and supporting all Café staff to be proficient in cooking and serving food in a timely manner as well as taking orders and preparing hot drinks. Looking for someone friendly and efficient to uphold the Company’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service. This person should be experienced in cooking, especially breakfast and lunch.
Responsibilities- Provide technical training and support to Cafe staff and model professionalism with guests and other employees at all times, specifically on customer service and cooking in the kitchen
- Ensure accuracy of all guest orders by maintaining expert knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) system(s)
- Prioritize guest experience- greeting and starting conversations with all who walk through the door
- Possess thorough and accurate knowledge of menu items and specials
- Proficient and honest in cash handling and credit card transactions; assist Manager with timely and accurate sales and tips reports and cash/credit card receipts
- Ensure alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages are served in accordance with Federal, State, Local regulations and Company procedures
- Understand Company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems, Health and Safety standards, policies, goals and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these area
- Assist with dishwashing and cleaning
- Assist with daily management of staff and schedules; comfortable managing their time, sending people home if needed and familiar with CA laws to be compliant in this area
- Complete all required food and safety logs in a timely and efficient manner per Company procedures and federal, state, and local regulations
- Work closely with front of house staff to ensure efficient, correct, and timely food service
- Quickly learn and maintain expert knowledge in the menu, including daily specials
- Other duties per Duties Checklist and as requested, such as helping at the Retail register in off season
- Obtain Serv Safe Certification in accordance with Company policy
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
- Excellent communication skills and be a team player capable of encouraging others in a positive manner
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and handle tasks involving bending, twisting and squatting
- Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum (2) years' experience cooking
