Job Title

Early Years Practitioner at St Athanasius' Primary School (Temporary up to one year).

Location and Hours

St Athanasius' Primary School – 37 hours per week, term time. Work pattern:
Monday - Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Hourly Rate

£17.72 – £18.21 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Support, nurture children and create stimulating learning opportunities that deliver a high-quality child‑centred early years provision.
  • Work as an effective member of an early years team, collaborating with colleagues to plan and coordinate programmes of learning.
  • Ensure care and welfare of young people in a childcare environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Skills
  • At least one of the following qualifications: NNEB, HNC, SVQ 3 Children's Care Learning & Development; SVQ 3 Early Years Care & Education; BA Early Learning and Childcare (Graduate Apprentice).
  • Registration as a Practitioner with SSSC.
  • Experience of working in an early years environment.
  • Strong communication skills with children, parents, carers, team members and outside agencies.
Additional Requirements
  • Temporary post up to one year.
  • Interest in ongoing professional development.
