Certified Medical Assistant

About the role:

• Seeking a team-oriented and attentive Medical Assistant. This position requires experience in accurately taking vitals, patient intake, chart prep, vaccines, injections, and phlebotomy.
• The idea candidate will have a strong understanding of customer service, someone who will engage positvely with patients, and idealy hold a CMA or RMA.

Position details:

• Type: Full time
• Location: South Lyon, Michigan
• Shift: 8am - 5pm (occasional late night on Tuesday or Thursday until 6pm)
• Pay: $19-23 (depending on years of experience)

Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Plebotomy experience
• Education:
  
  High School Diploma
• Experience with EMR, such as Athena
• BLS certifcication
• MA experience, problem solving experience, clinical experience, administer injectoins, performing EKG's, ability to take manual blood pressure, and injection training
• Soft skill/Attribute Requirements:
  Supportive, Attentive, Team player, Hard worker, and Good communication

Responsibilities:

• Collect and documents vital signs, histories, and screenings
• Performs point-of-care laboratory tests, EKGs, suture/staple removal, and dressing change
• Prepares patients, room, and supplies for visits or examinations
• Performs phelbotomy and correctly processes specimens
• Prepares and administers PO, IM, and s as directed by the Provider
• Authorizes prescription refills as directed
• Cleans and maintains treatment rooms and equipment
