Environmental Health Safety Specialist

Movement Search and Delivery is working with a leading metal product manufacturer in South Lyon, MI to identify and evaluate an EHS Specialist

We are seeking a hands‑on Safety Coordinator/Supervisor to join a precision manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate spends the majority of their time on the production floor rather than in an office. building relationships with hourly and salaried employees and driving safety improvements through direct engagement. This is a mid‑level position with room for growth into a larger safety role over time.

• Maintain thorough familiarity with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards
• Develop and deliver safety training materials; present and train employees at all levels
• Maintain a consistent floor presence - audit operations and build trusted relationships with hourly and salaried staff to drive safety improvements
• Conduct accident investigations, identify root causes, and lead corrective actions to resolution in a team-based manner
• Maintain training records and certifications (crane licenses, forklift, mobile equipment, and other periodic recerts)
• For more senior candidates: counsel/discipline employees as needed, run and document monthly safety committee meetings, assist with environmental reporting, and serve as the primary contact for OSHA visits, inspections, and reporting
• Other duties as assigned

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
• Strong communication and training/presentation skills
• Comfort and confidence engaging directly with floor personnel across all levels of the organization
• Experience conducting investigations and driving corrective action plans
• Associate's degree or OSHA certifications preferred
