Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in South Milwaukee, WI.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year.

What You’ll Do

The Process Engineer is focused on production quality, yield improvements, and product formulations within site operations. The position requires engagement in multiple projects including improvement of process methods, increasing throughput, and reducing the risk of poor quality and late delivery to customers. This position reports directly to the Operational Excellence Manager and will have direct interaction with Product Engineering and Production as well as various support functions.

This role supports plant Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost by establishing robust test system and processes and automating manufacturing processes with advanced technologies.

Essential Functions
  • Support our Vacuum Bottle Assembly & Electro Polishing Process.
  • Ensure that all critical to quality characteristics are identified, measured, and documented on the Control Plan.
  • Adhere to Safety initiatives by supporting MESH requirements, performing safety audits and fostering a safety improvement culture throughout the department.
  • Determine and implement best practices for furnace curing profiles and preventative maintenance.
  • Measure and improve first pass yield on all product classes.
  • Review SPC data.
  • Own all safety and equipment maintenance requirements. Ensure preventive and repair maintenance is complete.
  • Develop, implement, and document production test processes and methods; certify and test new hourly operators for adequate skills adherence to Standard Work.
  • Lead manufacturing process automation projects and deploy sound engineering controls to reduce cost and improve quality.
  • Develop, justify, and evolve capital plans and estimates throughout projects.
  • Accurately communicate status and quality of project and deliverables to team, management, and stakeholders.
  • Support Production, Engineering, and Manufacturing Services departments during equipment installation, modification, startup, and troubleshooting.
  • Interact with other departments such as quality, operations, and suppliers to achieve objectives as part of a product and process improvement team.
  • Support NPD/NPI projects and work with cross‑functional teams to obtain objectives and desired results.
  • Review new products for moldability and testability. Assist design groups to ensure product designs can be molded and tested economically in a production and repair environment.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience with chemical processing or molding operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Candidates who currently reside or are willing to relocate within 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI will be considered.
  • Candidates must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

  • Six‑Sigma experience improving processes.
  • Proven engineering experience with epoxy systems and molding operations.
