In this position you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing pricing strategies that maximize profitability while supporting sales growth and customer retention. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, and Project Management to establish competitive pricing, evaluate margin opportunities, and ensure pricing consistency across the organization.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute pricing strategies that align with company revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Review and approve customer quotations, pricing requests, and contract pricing while ensuring target margin requirements are achieved.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, raw material fluctuations, freight, and market trends to determine appropriate pricing adjustments.
- Lead pricing reviews for new products, customer bids, and strategic business opportunities.
- Partner with Sales to recommend pricing that balances competitiveness with profitability.
- Monitor customer profitability and identify opportunities to improve margins through price optimization or product mix changes.
- Create and maintain pricing models and margin analysis tools.
- Evaluate the financial impact of resin, film, adhesives, inks, and other material cost changes and recommend pricing actions.
- Support price increase initiatives and customer negotiations by providing data-driven analysis.
- Maintain pricing governance, approval workflows, and pricing documentation.
- Ensure pricing accuracy within ERP, CRM, and quoting systems.
- Develop dashboards and reports to monitor pricing performance, margin trends, quote conversion, and customer profitability.
- Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes through automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of pricing, financial analysis, commercial finance, or sales operations experience.
- Experience in manufacturing required; flexible packaging, converting, plastics, printing, or industrial products preferred.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, contribution margin, and manufacturing economics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Experience with ERP systems (Radius, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
