Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a MRO Buyer to join our team in South Milwaukee, WI. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $105,000 a year. This figure is a general guideline; actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What You’ll DoPosition Overview: The MRO/Intercompany Buyer will oversee the release and delivery of purchase orders for raw material and production support activities. The role will also handle procurement, quality, invoice, and inventory issues, including the appropriate Ariba/Versitek/SAP transactions. A key part of the position is analyzing part consumption behavior and other part characteristics. Working closely with customer service, internal and external suppliers, Product Engineering, and Production is essential to provide a high level of support and satisfy the customer.
- Respond to requests for maintenance, repair, and operations equipment and services for operations and the office.
- Review purchase requisitions, place inter‑company STO purchase orders, issue change notices, and check exception messages to help ensure materials or services are delivered as needed to support production schedules.
- Submit and track MRO purchases and keep information accurate and current.
- Review purchase order date accuracy and maintain MRP health.
- Take a proactive approach to preventing material shortages.
- Provide root cause corrective action when needed.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce MRO costs and improve efficiency.
- Maintain material master records for assigned materials; ensure PIR records and source lists are accurate, and reconcile supplier invoices for payment promptly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers.
- Participate in and lead continuous improvement opportunities.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 1 year experience performing supply‑chain related functions in a manufacturing environment.
- No relocation benefit is being offered. Candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of South Milwaukee, WI;
Active Duty Military Service members are exempt from this limitation. - Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
- Experience performing purchasing functions in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient experience with purchasing and planning using SAP.
- Demonstrated capability in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies;
Green Belt certification a plus. - Proven experience with quality assurance and reporting accuracy.
- Proven knowledge and application skills with process improvements.
- Understands key MRP health metrics.
