Technical Training Associate - 1st Shift
Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Technical Training Associate - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $29.60 per hour. The hours for this shift are 6:30 am - 2:30 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory aries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Technical Training Associate is responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering department-specific technical training that supports employee development, operational excellence, and a safe, high-performing workplace.
- Partner with the Human Resources Training Coordinator to design and implement impactful new-hire technical training programs, including structured onboarding and hands-on workshops.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive technical training for manufacturing and warehouse operations, incorporating classroom instruction, on-the-job training, video learning, certifications, and cross-training opportunities.
- Create engaging instructional materials that support key areas such as safety, quality, and equipment operation.
- Assess employee competency through evaluations, observations, and feedback, and use insights to drive continuous improvement in training programs.
- Collaborate with operations teams to enhance training effectiveness, improve processes, and support new employee success.
- Coordinate, deliver, and maintain department-specific training for both full-time and contingent employees.
- Work closely with Frontline Leaders and the HR Training Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate completion of training records.
- Facilitate training sessions, support special projects, and contribute to internal and external benchmarking initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement and actively support 5S+ practices to promote a Zero Incident Culture.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical training environment.
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical assembly processes, including the use of hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and assembly documentation.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical assembly, including wire routing, cable harness installation, component installation, crimping, and electrical testing practices.
- Ability to read, interpret, and train others on engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and work standards.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints and communicate requirements to production employees.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical assembly issues and identifying root causes.
- Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards, workmanship requirements, and safety procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees with varying levels of experience.
- Ability to evaluate employee skill levels, provide coaching, and deliver hands-on and classroom-based training.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training priorities and maintain training records.
- Ability to work effectively with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field
- Previous experience as a trainer, lead assembler, mentor, or subject matter expert in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience developing training materials, work instructions, and standardized training programs.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience with regulated or engineered to order products specifications and quality standards.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
