Accountant Working at Covenant

Covenant Classical School is seeking to hire a professional prepared to oversee all aspects of the school’s business operations and accounting. The position will begin 20 hours a week with anticipated growth to full‑time in the near future.

• Experience working with Quick Books for accounting and Excel/Google Sheets for budgeting and a readiness to learn new software applications such as our school management software, online banking, and applications related to the administration of benefits.
• Intrinsic motivation and problem solving skills.

• All accounts receivable, including tuition received through the FACTS school management system.
• Accounts payable.
• Banking.
• Accounting using Quick Books Online.
• Preparation of budget reports and budget modeling.
• Oversight of payroll and benefits administration.

The accountant reports directly to the Head of School and works in collaboration with the Finance Committee of the trustees.

The position offers flexible, remote hours with weekly meetings on‑site. Compensation is $30-$40 an hour depending upon experience.
