Senior Tax Accountant

Tax Accountant | Asset Management | Chicago Hybrid

A well-established investment management firm is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting & Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with approximately 3-4 years of experience looking to deepen their exposure to corporate tax, fund tax, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives within the asset management industry.

• Review corporate and fund tax filings, including Forms 1120 and 1120‑RIC and supporting work papers
• Support state and local tax compliance, estimated payments, extensions, and notices
• Assist with RIC qualification testing, tax provisions, ASC 740 documentation, and financial statement disclosures
• Support mutual fund and ETF distributions and shareholder tax reporting
• Coordinate with fund administrators, auditors, and external tax service providers
• Assist with tax notices, audits, and regulatory inquiries
• Participate in automation and process improvement project

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
• CPA or CPA-eligible is a big plus
• Approximately 3-4 years of tax accounting experience
  , ideally within asset management, financial services, public accounting, or investment funds
• Experience with corporate tax compliance, tax provisions, and financial reporting
