The ideal candidate is a strategic financial leader with proven experience managing and developing high‑performing teams, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting processes. This role requires a highly organized and detail‑oriented professional who can implement robust financial controls, optimize workflows, and provide clear, data‑driven insights to support business decisions. As Controller, you will oversee accounting operations and financial reporting for Spring‑Green and its subsidiaries, managing month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and collaborating cross‑functionally with leadership.

• Responsible for the general accounting function, including multi‑entity accounting, cash management and reconciliation, financial reporting, cash flow forecasts, and projections.
• Accountable for creating and updating all necessary internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and company asset protection.
• Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and GAAP, performing monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
• Drive process improvements and implement efficient financial systems, playing a major role in new accounting system implementation.
• Coordinate external audit activities, assist auditors, and implement audit recommendations.
• Assist the CFO with the annual budgeting process covering multiple Spring‑Green companies.
• Ensure weekly or bi‑weekly payroll is prepared accurately and on time, manage ADP files, and create new departments with corresponding general ledger coding.
• Maintain cash controls, manage short‑term investments, and manage short‑term loan buy‑downs.
• Administer 401(k) and profit‑sharing plans, execute transactions, and coordinate with the TPA and investment advisor.
• Maintain fixed‑asset files and reconcile depreciation and amortization.
• Oversee online banking activities, including approving ACH payments, running NSF reports, and analyzing statements.
• Administer corporate credit‑card processes, new card enrollment, statements, and payments.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounts payable, billings, cash receipts, and franchise reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting. Minimum 10+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance, full‑cycle accounting experience, and experience managing accounting employees. Accounting system implementation experience preferred.

CPA preferred but not required. Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required.
