- Demonstrated success in sales into the commercial vehicle market
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams
- Take full accountability for the profitability, risk management, and growth of new business into the Truck OEMS and Heavy Equipment customers
- Build relationships and maintain communication with potential customers. Travel to customer locations and anticipate their needs.
- Maintain solid communication and relationships with internal business partners.
- Coordinate marketing plans and ensure our client is positioned in the forefront.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and friendly competition by exemplifying our client's Vision, Mission, and Values and consistently positioning our Value Proposition with all customers. Demonstrate a positive and energetic attitude.
- Analyze financial, payroll, and inventory reports on a weekly basis and take initiative to identify and act upon trends and opportunities. Lead business planning for the department.
- Set visible objectives and priorities for the department, and monitor and discuss progress with the team. Take full responsibility to ensure every employee has a clear understanding of how success will be measured at all times. Create and maintain systems of accountability to measure team members’ performance against set targets. Set clear daily, weekly, and monthly targets for all team members in areas including but not limited to credit applications, cold calls, market growth, and sales growth.
- Create an overall sales strategy for the Truck division of the company
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and develop engaged Truck Sales Department team members with a priority placed on clarity of expectations. Become an Employer of Choice by promoting from within, encouraging employee referrals, and being aware of talent within the community.
- Attend training, departmental meetings, Trade Shows, and Conferences. Stay up to date on company changes, industry trends, product updates, and technological advances. Proactively prioritize own professional development to increase knowledge of business acumen and organizational development best practices.
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data-driven decisions
- Support new business development efforts and nurture customer relationships
- Champion customer satisfaction by working directly with key accounts
- Continuously analyze sales trends and opportunities for growth and improvement
