Position: Project Manager (Earthwork Contractor)

Job Overview

A top Earthwork Contractor in Chicago is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.

Compensation

Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain project timelines and resolve any issues.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, and change orders.
  • Track project financials, including budgets, expenses, and forecasting.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide project updates and address concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Foster a positive team environment and mentor junior staff members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the civil construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project management software (e.g., HCSS).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.
