Position: Are you looking for rewarding part-time work that can make a full-time difference in a young person's life? If so, then we have a great opportunity for you! We are seeking enthusiastic instructors who specialize in tutoring math and language arts at the elementary and middle school levels. Core competencies with teaching the subject to children aged 5 to 14 are the priority.

(Proficiency with classes like Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Calculus, and/or SAT/ACT prep are a bonus.) Keep reading to see if you are a perfect fit!

These positions are IN-PERSON at our learning center in McLean, VA, and all candidates must be able to work in center and must be able to commit to at least a year with our kiddos

Responsibilities:

• Coaching and guiding students to meet their academic goals
• Tutoring multiple subjects confidently and effectively
• Strengthening students’ study habits, identifying how each student learns best, and teaching them how to learn
• Motivating students who need that extra oomph
• Working with up to three students at a time
• Demonstrating a firm and loving nature with students
  , setting effective boundaries and helping them stretch academically! Our kids look up to our coaches as mentors.
• Being engaging, nimble, and professional
• Keeping detailed records of tutoring sessions
• Attending team meetings, socials, and other Tutoring Club events

Compensation and Benefits:

• A base salary commensurate with experience and performance-based pay raises.
  Pay is between $15 -$25 per hour depending on qualifications. We love experienced tutors and will pay more for your experience and abilities!
• $150 Signing Bonus after 90 days of employment.
