Job Overview
St. Charles School District 303 has many opportunities to substitute teach in our 17 schools. We set high expectations for our students, staff and substitute teachers.
Qualifications- Valid and active Illinois Professional Teaching License (PEL)
- Illinois Substitute Teaching License (SUB) (requires a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education)
- Paraprofessional License and a bachelor's degree
- Daily Substitute Teacher Rate: $145 per day
- Loyalty Rate (after 31 days as a District 303 Daily Substitute Teacher): $165 per day
- Long Term Substitute Teacher Rate: $220 per day
In addition to the online application, a transcript, a valid Substitute or PEL license, two letters of reference, and a fingerprint-based background check must be provided. For additional details go to the District 303 website and view the Substitute Handbook.
