Position Summary
The Department of Management and Marketing in the School of Business and Entrepreneurship at North Central College invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professor of Management & Marketing positions to begin August 1, 2026.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent instruction in a variety of undergraduate business courses in Management and Marketing. This position has a teaching load of 24 credits per academic year. Other courses may be assigned depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
- Assess students' work and provide detailed feedback to improve their content knowledge, critical thinking skills, and oral and written communication skills.
- Mentor undergraduate students through one‑on‑one and group interactions and independent study opportunities.
- Attend conferences and workshops as necessary to remain active in the field(s) of study and qualifications for AACSB accreditation; engage with department and School faculty to further develop teaching and mentoring skills; complete campus-wide training required by Academic Affairs and Human Resources.
- Perform other departmental duties and attend activities as necessary, including faculty meetings, committees, task forces, and other required responsibilities.
- Terminal degree in business or a related field such as a Ph.D., D.B.A., or J.D. (ABD acceptable).
- Meets AACSB faculty qualifications for Scholarly Academic.
- Teaching experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, and ongoing scholarship/professional development.
- Only candidates already authorized to work in the U.S. will be considered. North Central College is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
- Demonstrated excellence in both teaching and research.
- Experience with student success and co‑curricular programming and management.
- Recent engagement with industry.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000.
