Qualifications and Credentials:
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- LBS1 endorsement
- Early Childhood Special Education approval (or Early Childhood Education certification)
- Experience working with preschool-age children, especially in special education settings, strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt age-appropriate lesson plans for preschoolers with diverse learning needs
- Implement IEPs and provide direct instruction and interventions
- Collaborate with related service providers, families, and other educators to ensure student success
- Maintain regular documentation of student progress and communicate updates
- Foster a safe, supportive, and nurturing classroom environment
- Participate in ongoing professional development and orientation provided by clinical and technology teams
