Qualifications:
  • Valid Illinois LBS1 certification (Special Education)
  • Prior experience teaching or co-teaching in middle school settings strongly preferred
  • Commitment to the social, emotional, and academic success of students with diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
  • Co-teach four sections of English Language Arts (grades 7 and
    8)
  • Manage a caseload of about 15 students, developing and monitoring IEPs
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
