Overview
My client, a global manufacturer in the additive manufacturing sector, is seeking a Service Engineer to support customers across the Midwest. This role involves extensive travel (up to 90%).
The Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing advanced manufacturing equipment at customer sites. The role combines hands-on technical work with customer-facing support, training, and troubleshooting to ensure high service standards and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Installation, commissioning, and servicing of additive manufacturing equipment
- Preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis (electrical & mechanical)
- Customer training and on-site technical support
- Remote troubleshooting and service reporting
- Coordination of spare parts and service logistics
- Technical degree or equivalent field service experience (additive manufacturing or CNC preferred)
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, travel-heavy role
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
