Senior Hydrogeologist

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to help us shape the future. In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform and lead environmental analyses in support of nuclear environmental licensing projects nationwide.

This exciting and impactful role can be based in one of our offices located in:

• Kennesaw, GA (suburb of Atlanta)
• Oklahoma City, OK
• Naperville, IL
• Overland Park, KS
• Dallas, TX
• Fort Worth, TX
• Any ENERCON office will also be considered

• Groundwater Modeling: develop, calibrate, and analyze groundwater flow models using MODFLOW to assess and predict hydrogeologic conditions.
• Field Investigations & Data Collection: develop and conduct field investigations to characterize hydrogeologic systems and evaluate groundwater flow conditions; collect and evaluate site‑specific groundwater data, perform and interpret aquifer tests, and assess water quality.
• Impact Assessment & Remediation: evaluate the potential impacts of development and land‑use changes on groundwater resources, develop remediation plans for contaminated sites, and monitor and assess remediation effectiveness over time.
• Regulatory Compliance & Permitting: ensure compliance with local, state, and federal groundwater regulations and water‑quality protection, and help prepare permit applications and environmental impact assessments.
• Reporting & Communication: prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations summarizing findings, and communicate complex scientific concepts to clients and regulatory agencies.
• Project Management: manage hydrogeological projects from start to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of fieldwork and laboratory testing activities.
• Other focus areas include NEPA compliance, GIS, natural resources assessments & permitting, geoscience & remediation services, radiological services, and regulatory compliance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Hydrogeology or Geology.
• Minimum of 6 years of hydrogeology experience.
• Proficiency in hydrogeologic principles, including characterization, assessments, and monitoring.
• Experience with field instrumentation and techniques for groundwater sampling and monitoring.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes related to groundwater.
• Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel 10‑20% of the time, depending on client needs.

USD $82,000.00 - USD $ per year.
