Overview
As a Mechanical Engineer at ENERCON, you will evaluate and design power systems for power‑generating facilities. This role is ideal for early‑career engineers with 1‑3 years of experience who want to grow their skills, manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and produce high‑quality, error‑free engineering documents that meet industry codes, standards, and client expectations.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and design power systems at power‑generating facilities.
- Coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines.
- Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality of work assignments with minimal guidance.
- Prepare error‑free engineering documents (drawings, sketches, instructions, calculations, analyses, evaluations) according to industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry codes, standards, safety culture, and design techniques suitable to the nuclear industry.
- Produce high‑quality engineering deliverables consistent with client and ENERCON QA programs.
- Build strong relationships with clients through professional interactions and communications.
- Travel to plant sites to interface with client personnel and perform walk‑downs of plant structures, systems, and components related to project work.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
- Availability to start within the next 1‑3 months.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards; willingness to participate in prototyping and testing; ability to create comprehensive design documentation.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Ability to work individually and in teams.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders at client sites and navigate client sites for walk‑downs.
- Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
- U.S. citizenship required for federal contracts (some roles may require U.S. citizenship).
- Pass pre‑employment and random drug, alcohol, background checks, and annual motor vehicle record checks.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or approved dual citizen.
The salary range for this full‑time position is $80,000.00‑$99,600.00. Pay is determined by role, level, experience, location, and other factors.
