Senior Estimator role in the Greater Chicago Area with an established builder delivering commercial and mission critical data center projects across the Midwest.
Our client is a respected contractor known for highly coordinated projects and long-standing client relationships. Estimating is deeply integrated into project strategy, and this role provides meaningful influence over pricing decisions, pursuit planning, and preconstruction activities.
You will lead estimating efforts for commercial and mission critical data center projects across the Greater Chicago Area, overseeing budgeting, bid strategy, subcontractor engagement, and pursuits valued from $25 million upward. Qualified candidates will have 8+ years of commercial estimating experience, proficiency with estimating software and cost databases, and experience supporting commercial, mission critical, or data center projects.
CompensationBase salary range of $110,000 to $150,000, plus annual bonus potential of 15% to 25%. Compensation for Chief Estimator responsibilities and extensive data center experience may exceed this range.
Northern Illinois is a major digital infrastructure hub where available land, utility capacity, and central U.S. connectivity support large-scale data center campuses. Many of these programs involve phased construction and extensive electrical infrastructure, creating highly specialized estimating environments across the Greater Chicago Area.
This firm treats estimating as a pathway to broader business leadership. Senior Estimators gain exposure to executive decision-making and can progress into Chief Estimator and Preconstruction leadership roles while supporting a diverse portfolio of repeat-client work.
