Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer

A rapidly growing client of Sterling Engineering, located in Naperville, IL, is expanding its team and adding key roles to support increased customer demand and production volume. This organization is a well-established, ISO-certified manufacturer with a strong reputation in precision metal fabrication and electrical component production, serving industries such as power generation, industrial equipment, and aerospace. They operate in a high-performance, team-oriented environment with a strong emphasis on quality, continuous improvement, and engineering collaboration.

They are currently seeking an Estimating/Manufacturing Engineer to support project quoting and production planning efforts.

• Develop cost estimates for manufacturing projects
• Create detailed process routings and timelines
• Calculate material usage and layout for projects
• Prepare proposals to submit for customer review
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams for accurate estimates
• Interface with customers and suppliers to discuss project requirements and deliverables

• At least 3 years of experience in an Estimator/Project Manager role
• 2 years of experience in a metal fab or CNC type of environment preferred
• Manufacturing experience required
