Water​/Wastewater Engineer

Location: Bannockburn, Chicago, Crystal Lake, Naperville, or Mokena, IL

Water/Wastewater Engineer I in our Design-Build Department. Responsible for the design of drinking water, wastewater and related infrastructure projects across multiple offices. The role offers a unique opportunity to advance in technical design, project management, team management, or business development.

• Detailed design of new and rehabilitation improvements for water/wastewater treatment plants, pipelines, and pumping stations.
• Complete conceptual and preliminary designs in Bluebeam and coordinate with AutoCAD/Revit platforms.
• Review and plan water/wastewater infrastructure improvements, integrating sustainable design elements for water and energy conservation.
• Collaborate with Boller Design Build and subcontractors to assemble pricing, develop proposals, and determine solutions.
• Work directly with Boller Construction and other contractors on design-build projects.
• Make independent engineering decisions and take responsibility for project solutions.
• Communicate and coordinate efforts and ideas with peers, management, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in client and agency meetings to enhance knowledge exchange and develop relationships.

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, environmental emphasis.

• Ability to lead themselves through project design.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment for both engineering design and contractors.

The pay range for this role is $74,000-$90,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
