What You’ll DoAs the Product Development Manager reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will drive product innovation, quality, and technical excellence across international and domestic lines.
- Lead & Innovate: Manage and mentor a talented Product Development team of 3, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Global Product Strategy: Partner with domestic and international vendors/engineering firms to research new technologies, design concepts, and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes.
- Prototyping & Testing: Design, build, and test prototypes while building robust lab testing procedures.
- Certifications & Compliance: Serve as the resident subject-matter expert on safety certifications, lab testing standards, and compliance (including fire codes, Prop 65, and patents).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing and Sales to launch new products, approve samples, deliver custom technical specs, and drive seamless go-to-market strategies.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
. - Experience: 5+ years of engineering/product development experience, ideally within manufacturing, electro-mechanical appliances, or commercial equipment environments.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong background in design, quality control, electro-mechanical testing, safety certifications, and CAD/Solidworks exposure. - Leadership: Proven ability to manage timelines, budgets, and multi-stage NPI NPD projects.
- Mobility: Willingness and capability to travel internationally as needed. Able to commute to Naperville, IL (onsite).
