Hours:

2pm - 11pm

An Automation Technician is required for a hands-on engineering role focused on building, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining high-precision automation equipment.

  • Build and assemble custom automation equipment, including mechanical, electrical and optical components.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues through hands-on work such as replacing parts, soldering connections, realigning optics and recalibrating sensors.
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment to precise tolerances using tools such as calipers, feeler gauges, multimeters and microscopes.
  • Work across cameras, lenses, machined parts, computer components, low-power electrical systems, pneumatics and 3D-printed parts.
  • Troubleshoot complex multi-system issues alongside engineers, tracing faults across mechanical, electrical and software layers.
  • Speak with operators to understand when and how equipment issues occur.
  • Log bugs, repairs and technical findings clearly so the next person can act on the information.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in a technical or engineering environment.
  • Exposure to multiple engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical and software.
  • Experience or familiarity with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, calipers, feeler gauges and microscopes.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to document issues clearly and concisely.
  • Comfortable communicating with both production operators and engineers.
  • Resourceful approach to problem-solving, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt as tools, systems and techniques evolve.
