Primary Responsibilities- Provide technical, educational, clinical, and sales support to help the region meet Cardiac Ablation Solutions sales and customer service goals.
- Represent Medtronic CAS during ablation procedures to provide troubleshooting and technical assistance.
- Receive and research solutions to technical inquiries from customers (e.g., catheter, console, generator support).
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters related to AFS products and procedures.
- Conduct one‑on‑one training sessions, in‑service education programs, seminars and external symposiums.
- Assist the Regional Manager and field training department in educating and training new Clinical Specialists and Account Managers.
- Provide training and resources for hospital staff to enable them to conduct training for their personnel.
- Update sales representatives on procedural status and notify Account Managers of issues requiring follow‑up.
- Serve as the Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff regarding Medtronic CAS products, services, and support.
- Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and related procedures.
- Understand national, regional, and territory sales objectives; work with the Account Manager to achieve and exceed goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma and a minimum of 8 years of healthcare experience in an EP, cath lab setting, or cardiac sales.
- Associate degree and a minimum of 6 years of healthcare experience in an EP, cath lab setting, or cardiac sales.
- Bachelor degree and a minimum of 4 years of healthcare experience in an EP, cath lab setting, or cardiac sales.
- Preference for local candidates and those with Medtronic experience.
- B.A./B.S. degree in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or a technical discipline with at least four years of cardiac field experience in a hospital/clinic or sales.
- Pacing school or ATI‑like training program in addition to BQs.
- Proven track record with technical training assignments.
- Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, or EP medical sales providing technical/clinical support.
Job Requirements
- Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
- Clinical Specialists must be within their assigned territory each day and be available for unscheduled needs.
- Occasional travel outside the assigned territory, including overnight stays.
- Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance; driving record reviewed as part of the application.
- Ability to move freely throughout the facility, use a phone, keyboard, mouse, and interact with a computer.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for 8 hours a day.
- Must drive approximately 75% of the time within the territory, with possible overnight travel.
Competitive salary range: $100,000 – $110,000 (U.S. exclusive of Puerto Rico).
