Ultrasound Technologist II - Midshift​/Evenings

Hourly Pay Range

$35.35 - $54.79 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

  Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst IL
• Full-Time, 40 hours weekly
• Hours:
  
  11:30am - 10pm, one weekend (Saturday/Sunday) every 6 weeks. One holiday per year.

Under general supervision, using ultrasound equipment you produce two‑dimensional ultrasound images of internal organs for use by Radiologists in the diagnosis of disease and the study of malfunction of organs. You deliver and ensure customer service in all aspects to the job. You explain the procedure to patients, giving them an opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher.
• Licenses/Certifications:
• Certified or proof of eligibility for certification (i.e., letter of eligibility issued by an accredited school) by ARRT (S) (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography) or ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography).
• Must be certified and currently registered as RDMS (OB or AB), RT(S), RT (VS), RVT, or RVS within twenty‑four months of eligibility or within 6 months of the start date into the position.
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Preferred Experience:
  
  Vascular, Breast, Abdomen, OB/GYN, MSK, and Pediatric experience.
