We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our outpatient care team. In this role, you will support providers by preparing examination rooms, assisting during patient visits and procedures, performing point-of-care testing, administering injections, and helping with patient flow. You'll also handle scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, and coordinate with pharmacies, labs, and imaging.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and stocked supplies
- Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs, weight, height, health history, chief complaints, and symptoms
- Assist physicians or APN during exams and procedures
- Perform point-of-care testing, EKGs, and administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
- Manage patient scheduling and flow, updating and maintaining EPIC charts
- Handle referrals, prior authorizations, and coordinate with pharmacies, labs, and imaging
- Ensure compliance with infection control and vaccine administration protocols
- Document accurately and efficiently, supporting quality care metrics
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some MA experience, preferably clinical
- Experience administering injections and performing EKGs
- Ability to take manual blood pressure
- Problem-solving skills and positive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork
- EPIC experience
- CMA, CCMA, RMA
- Certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA
